Sandra Skibsted

Sandra is a documentary filmmaker with a background in professional photography. Her photographic career spanned many genres from advertising to reportage.
Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, Sandra settled in London In 1995 when she studied for her degree in photography at the University of Westminster.
For 9 years she worked a crime scene photographer for the police service in London, her daily exposure to raw reality of death fulled her passion for extraordinary stories of life.
Attracted by the extreme, she debuted with Arctic Diamond, a film following 4 teams competing in the toughest and coldest competition on the planet, the World Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks, Alaska.
She has since filmed in other extreme environments around the world as well as in the UK and Europe.
In addition to running The 8th Company, Sandra also works as producer and director of documentaries with fellow filmmakers at Fact Not Fiction Films.
